My Watering

One of my many responsibilitys on our farm is watering the plants in and around the yard, garden, and greenhouse. This is not as simple as it sounds, watering is a very important job and is extremely delicate work because there are a few things you must look out for. The first is watering too hard, if you let the water just slam into a plant it could bruise, or snap a stalk. Another thing to look out for is over or under watering, there is a fine line between over watering, under watering, and perfect watering. If you over water, the plant’s roots will begin to rot and you will notice the leaves turning yellow, if you under water you might observe the leaves turning brown depending on the type of plant. Another thing to watch out for in the watering job is weeds and bugs. Weeds will choke your plant if they are not disposed of, and bugs are a serious threat to plants, and from my experience the worst are aphids they come in tremendous numbers and if you do not cut them down early they will devour your entire harvest! The ideal time to water is in the morning because it is not to hot, and your plants will have the water absorbed before the heat of the day and not be scorched. Watering the plants is an important endeavour and is beneficial to the family because it provides delicious healthy food.
