My Number 1# Trip

I have many trips I would like to go on, and many things I would like to see, but if I considered a relatively close trip, it would definitely be Arizona. The reason for this is, on account of the different environment, instead of colder mountainous temperatures and nature, in Arizona the climate is hot and dry. Another reason why I would like to go there would be to see the wildlife, like snakes and scorpions. If I did go there, I would visit the desert and see the natural landscape. I have been there before but only when I was very young. I remember being there and going on walks through the desert, one time I got to see a small scorpion, it was about four or five millimeters long, but I thought it was the coolest thing because it was the first time I had ever seen a real scorpion. For how small it was, I imagine that it would have been one of the more deadly ones, so it is a good thing that I did not touch it. I also remember seeing lots of snakes, on the road I once saw a black and white striped snake, I could not get a good look at it though, because it was going very fast. Another time there was a brown snake, but I could not really see it because it was so well camouflaged, and that same day we also came across a road-killed rattle snake, this too, was the first time I had ever seen a rattler and it was very interesting, it was about two feet long and its entire head was completely flat because it had been run over by a truck. Arizona, in addition to other characteristics, is home to the Grand Canyon, I have never been there, but from things I have heard and pictures I have seen it looks like an amazing place, as there are thousands upon thousands of fossils in that location, there are also steep cliffs that displaying the earths layers aligned one on top of the other. Arizona is a place of much diversity and if I was to pick a trip to take that is likely what it would be, I think that it would be fun to take a week and go see it again.
