India is an interesting country, it contains the highest
mountain range on earth, because the tectonic plate of India is pushing against
the adjacent plate, this is the cause of the Himalayan mountain range. The
early peoples that lived in India placed their settlements around rivers like
the Ganges and Indus Rivers. The Indus River goes through the Indus Valley,
which was an extremely fertile area. In 500 AD, India was mostly controlled by
the stable Gupta Empire, The likely reason that the Gupta empire was so stable
was because during its time there was great cultural development like academia,
Science, and politics, but like all great empires it eventually ended as by
roughly 800 AD, the Gupta Empire was very much reduced because of loss of
territory and being invaded by other nations, in its place there were a few
small sized empires and Muslim caliphates, which were like religious leaders
for the Muslims, began to invade. In its history, India went through much diversity
as it always seemed to be changing its rulers. By around 1200 India was split
into many small regions and kingdoms, but soon they were again united under the
Mughal Empire, it began an industrial time in India. After many years of the
Mughal Empire, it declined into a very small kingdom and India was again in
disorder, you can see how it has always been changing and growing. Even to this
day, India is a country that is broken up into many different regions and
territories.
