Impossible Challenges

In life we face many different obstacles and each takes a slightly new form, so is important to know how to handle them, even if they seem impossible. Some challenges are very easy to overcome, like not eating unhealthy food, but others like loving your enemies are extremely difficult. However, any challenge, no matter how hard, unless it is physically impossible, can be solved.
There is a distinct difference between the problems we view as impossible and actually impossibilities, such as rolling a ball up a hill. One of the main reasons that we say something is impossible is because we do not want to put in the effort to make it possible, examples of this might be doing a job that will take all day, or writing a ten thousand word research paper. I believe that one of the main reasons tasks can seem hopeless is because of the over usage of the word impossible. Whenever I think about challenges I think about the Greek Hero Hercules, he was faced with 12 “impossible” tasks, such as defeating horrible monsters and holding up the sky, every challenge he met he bravely and attempted it, and many times he failed upon trying it once, but he kept on and won them all. We too should adopt some of this “Herculean” determination when facing the great challenges of life. The first step in accomplishing any task is to think it through, acknowledge that it is possible, develop a strategy, think outside the box, get help, and whatever it takes, so you can solve the problem. Once this step is done, get what you need and execute the plan, if you thought it through clearly you have a better chance of success, but even if you do make a plan, there is no guarantee, even Hercules had to do things twice sometimes, so if that is what it takes then do so. As you do this you will become better at solving problems, ultimately achieving efficiency.
In conclusion, I would say that few problems are truly impossible and if we think things through and execute our plans well, we will have a good chance at success in life. This principle applies to almost every field, some of the most successful people are those who learned how to deal with their issues, following which they had a clear path to success.
