The Fall of Rome

The fall of Rome began when the barbarians began attacking Rome in 376 AD. The Romans could not effectively defeat the barbarians because every time the Romans won a battle against the barbarians they made the barbarians part of the Roman army, so after a while when they attacked a barbarian tribe the solders would not fight because they were once barbarians themselves and they would not kill their family and friends, so the Romans could not win against the barbarians.
The last Emperor was Romulus Augustus, he was 6 years old when he became Emperor but his reign was very short lived because Odoacer marched his army up to Rome and demanded One third of the Empire and in 475-476 AD. Odoacer forced Romulus to abdicate and end the Western Roman Empire and he likely spent the rest of his life in Compania. Odoacer was the first king of Italy and that was the end of the Empire.
